A Note from Mary...

It seems that we can't turn on the news anymore but what we are seeing the effects of addiction. Whether it be alcohol, drugs, food, gambling or sex the impact on our society is destroying lives and families.

There is a saying that for every problem there is a spiritual solution . For people who are finding their own spiritual pathway this may offer great comfort. But for the person who already has quite an aversion to zealous religionists, this saying could be quite off-putting.

That's why I wanted to share this lightly mystical story with you today to draw your own conclusions from.

THE TIMELESS VISIT
An excerpt from Gifts by the Side of the Road
by John Wayne "Jack" Schlatter

The man sat at his desk and, with a sigh of despair, pulled the resignation form toward him and started to fill it out. His pen ran out of ink, so he got up and to get a fresh one. This mysterious guest wore a dark blue suit, which framed a uniquely styled red tie. His sandy brown hair was neatly combed, and his blue eyes seemed to shine with an electric type of challenge.

The car slowly rolled to a stop. The unexpected visitor opened the car door and got out, but not before he looked back with a glaring intensity and said, "Please, Sir, rebuild, don't regret; discover, don't despair; reach for the sky, don't die!" He then walked into the mist and disappeared... Continue
