Dear %Member:CustomField1%,

Thank you in advance for a few minutes of your time to share a story about a SED student in our Lost Cause Kid Movie.

Kelly Harris, a PTA Parent said it best...

"Fabulous, absolutely fabulous movie! I moved my family out of Newton after 10 years because there were so many students like Randy and many teachers who labeled instead of connecting to reach and teach. And my three kids are better for it. I have shared your movie with many of my friends. I just had to say THANK YOU and well done."

Jane Bluestein, an Educational Consultant, writes...

"Regarding your decision to not punish the seventh grader: I can assure you that the single biggest challenge for me in my work with teachers and parents over the past few decades is trying to get them past the idea that when a child does something we don't like, something bad, humiliating, or physically or emotionally painful has to happen to the child. It is almost counterintuitive to not apply negative consequences (punishments), but as you have discovered, you get a lot more mileage out of love, encouragement, and inclusion (not to mention patience and faith). Big hugs, Mary. Thanks for the work you're doing."

I liken the academic and positive behavioral solutions we seek to Ockham's razor - which is the idea that in trying to understand something, getting unnecessary information out of the way is the fastest way to the solution. It is the philosophical or scientific principle that states: the best solution is the simplest.

This movie is about changing a life for the better by teaching the simplest - all inclusive - model.
