************************************************************************** Instructions for UNZIPPING this .zip file (if you haven't already done so) ************************************************************************** This download is encapsulated into what is called a ".zip archive" or .zip file. You can [Right-click] > [Explore] a .zip archive and see what's inside it before un-zipping. You can even read text files (like this one) before un-zipping the archive. You need to "extract" the contents of this .zip archive before using the self-installer. If you are reading this from a Windows Explorer view of the contents of the .zip file, you need to do the following: 1. Print this message so you will have it to refer to. 2. Close this document and return to the Windows Explorer view showing the .zip file (not the contents of it.) Usually, clicking the [UP] icon in the top of the view window will bring you out of the .zip file contents and show you the .zip file itself. 3. RIGHT CLICK ONCE on the .zip file and select [Extract] 4. Choose the folder location into which you want these files placed, and click [OK], or [Go], or [Extract]. These files have been placed inside of their own Folder, and you must leave them in this folder for the self-installer to function properly. ********************************************************** Instructions for the Self-Installing Screen-Saver for PC's ********************************************************** After you have unzipped/extracted the downloaded files, find the folder in which the files are contained and [Open] the folder. Double-left-click on the "...Saver.exe" file, (or right-click and select [Run].) Follow the prompts to install it. The program will do two things: It will place the screen-saver file in the correct system folder. Secondly, it will "select" the installed screen-saver so that it will replace any saver previously selected. **************************************************************** Instructions for using the Self-Installing Screen-Saver for PC's **************************************************************** STOPPING IT FROM PLAYING: [Esc] Once the screen-saver takes over the screen and begins playing, the only way to shut it off and go back to your normal screen is to touch the [Esc] key - top left side of your keyboard. CONFIGURING: The only configuration option you have is to select the number of minutes of inactivity before your new screen-saver will launch. IF DESIRED, you can configure your new screen-saver using Windows native system as follows: > go to your Windows Desktop by putting all other programs in the tray > right-click on an empty area of the desktop - this will open a gray dialogue box > choose [Properties] at the bottom of the box > choose [Screen Saver] tab at top of the box Adjust the number of minutes, and click [OK] to close the dialogue box.
